The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Real, Quezon has been honored as a Good Practice Awardee for its Mapagkalingang Serbisyo Wasto at Diretso (MSWD) Database and Management Information System at the Paglaray Awards, hosted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The award was conferred on November 22, 2024, at the Ciudad Christia Resort 9 Waves in San Mateo, Rizal, as part of the 2024 Knowledge Fair for External Partners.
The Paglaray Awards is a prestigious national recognition program that acknowledges outstanding initiatives and best practices in social welfare service delivery. Derived from the Bisaya and Cebuano word for alignment, the Paglaray Awards symbolize the synchronization of efforts in improving social protection programs. This year’s awards capped off the two-day knowledge fair attended by over 600 participants, including representatives from DSWD field offices, local government units (LGUs), national government agencies, and private sector organizations.
Developed in collaboration with AccessGov, MSWDO Real’s MSWD Database and Management Information System was recognized for its innovative approach to digital transformation in social welfare services, highlighting the importance of innovation in social welfare services and encouraging continued efforts toward more efficient and data-driven solutions for public service delivery.
